Why do Afar bars cost more than other bars?
We're a small, family-run business that uses premium ingredients and produces in small batches. As a result, our bars cost much more to make vs. those of big bar brands. Rest assured, as we grow, we'll pass on our cost savings to you.
Are your bars clean?
Yes, we use only simple ingredients: nuts & seeds, brown rice crisps, soy protein crisps, spices & herbs, sea salt, olive oil, organic tapioca syrup, and organic vegetable glycerin. That's it!

What's the protein source?
Our 10g of vegan protein comes from a mix of nuts / seeds and soy protein crisps.
Why do Afar bars have 3g sugar if they're savory?
We use a smidge of organic tapioca syrup to bind our bars together, hence the 3g sugar. We're working to lower the sugar even more!
Are any flavors spicy?
All flavors contain no heat except for our Mexican Chili Lime flavor, which is medium spicy.
How long do Afar bars last?
